Joshua D. Kundert

Josh represents clients in sophisticated civil and commercial disputes, with an emphasis on strategic advocacy and careful case development. He is known for his careful preparation, strong written advocacy, and practical approach to resolving complex matters efficiently. Josh takes a hands-on, client-centered approach to every case, working closely with clients to develop litigation strategies aligned with their objectives and the realities of time and resources.

Josh earned his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 2022, where he served as a member of the Marquette Law Review. After graduating, he clerked for two federal judges in Texas—Chief Judge Alia Moses of the Western District of Texas and Judge Lee Ann Reno of the Northern District of Texas—where he gained substantial experience in federal litigation, dispositive motion practice, and judicial decision-making. Prior to joining Gass Turek, Josh practiced at a mid-size, full-service law firm, representing clients in a wide range of contested matters.

Josh’s practice centers on civil and commercial litigation, including business disputes and related matters. He has experience handling cases in both state and federal courts and is adept at managing all phases of litigation, from early case assessment through motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation. His practice also includes creditors’ rights and creditor-side bankruptcy matters. Clients value Josh’s responsiveness, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality advocacy and personal service.
