Arbitration Victory

Gass Turek attorneys David Turek and Rachel Potter, with the assistance of paralegal Joy Gravunder, recently secured a $4 million arbitration award for a client seeking contractual indemnification from a foreign supplier.  The supplier was responsible for misassembling a product that injured a plaintiff in Alabama.  Gass Turek’s client was forced to resolve the suit in Alabama and then pursue indemnification from the vendor. After a three-day hearing, with unusual scheduling to address a 13-hour time difference between the parties’ key witnesses, the arbitrator ultimately awarded our client 100% of its requested damages, along with attorneys’ fees and prejudgment interest.  With the award, our client will be made completely whole for its losses stemming from the Alabama product liability case.
