On January 25, 2024, after a 4-day trial in Waupaca County, Gass Turek attorneys Linda Vogt Meagher and Stephen Trigg received a unanimous jury verdict in favor of a chiropractor who plaintiff claimed caused two compression fractures during an adjustment. The defense was able to establish that chiropractors do not use forces that cause compression fractures and that the plaintiff had undiagnosed severe osteoporosis with compression fractures both before and after the chiropractic treatment at issue. The jury found no negligence. Asked to answer damage questions regardless of its answers to the liability questions, the jury answered “zero” for all damages questions.
